Loading a Kayak on top of a car
With all the new paddlers, one problem is constant, and that is loading a kayak on top of a car. The weight of the kayak is one portion of the problem. The strength of the person lifting the kayak and the height of that person is the final part of the problem. The assumption is that a rack is being used to transport the kayak. The first step is for the person doing the lifting must figure out how to manage the lifting. By using a cart to get the boat in place for lifting, the next step is to position the boat so that part of the weight is supported by the rack. Here, I hope, is information to help individuals resolve this problem. The following links are to YouTube videos. Take your time and try to look at as many as you can. Please let me know if any of this helps, and what other information would be useful.
